December 2024 High School/Middle School Principals Report
Due to Thanksgiving Break recently, there hasn’t been a lot of activity to report. However, here are some reminders about current and upcoming events:

Middle School Science Fair
The MS Science Fair is taking place today! We encourage everyone to visit the commons area and check out the amazing projects our middle school students have been working hard on.

Winter Sports Updates

Winter sports are in full swing. The first tournaments of the season occurred last weekend, with all teams experiencing mixed results.

This weekend, boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will participate in the Rangely Tournament, while the wrestling team heads to Montrose for a major two-day competition.

Don’t forget about our “Bulldog Classic” Basketball Tournament on December 20th and 21st. Games start at 2:00 PM on Friday and 1:00 PM on Saturday. Please come out and cheer on our Bulldogs!

Juniors & Seniors: Futures Fair
Last week, our juniors and seniors attended the “Futures Fair” in Cortez. This event allowed students to interact with representatives from local businesses, colleges, and nonprofit organizations. With interactive displays, career networking opportunities, and breakout sessions, the fair inspired students to explore potential career paths and post-secondary options.

First Semester Finals
Finals are just around the corner and will take place on December 18th and 19th:

Wednesday: Periods 1, 3, 5, and 7

Thursday: Periods 2, 4, and 6
Each final will be 90 minutes long. Students who are absent on either day will need to make up their finals on Monday, January 6th. If your child must miss their finals, please call the office as soon as possible.
